Originally from Virginia, Skip spent many years on the move & finally found his way back to the Blue Ridge Mountains. He received his undergraduate degree in outdoor education and subsequently worked as a backcountry guide in the Rocky Mountains of western Wyoming, the White Mountains of New Hampshire, and most recently the Blue Ridge Mountains here in Southwest Virginia. Skip returned to school and received a Master’s in Education at Virginia Tech. He spent a couple of years as an elementary school teacher and soon realized his need to be “out and about”, thus the transition into real estate.


Skip continues to love life in the New River Valley where in his spare time he plays “claw hammer” or “old time” banjo & works on his mountain cottage. He now shares both his love for the mountains & music with his wife, Stephanie, and two daughters, Alexis & McKenna.
